Because breastfeeding is so beneficial for infants and their mothers, St. Luke’s offers breastfeeding classes and bedside assistance from a certified lactation consultant.
Our nurses and nurse-midwives provide breastfeeding education and can address common problems and concerns. After you leave the hospital, ongoing lactation assistance is available by office visit or telephone. If you are breastfeeding and plan to return to work or school, see our brochure on Breastfeeding and Your Return to Work or School.
